Westfal-Larsen Management has signed contract with ShipEquip AS for another one-year trial installation of so-called VSAT communication equipment.

VSAT is an "always-on" satellite-based connection from the vessel to shore, which enables both internet access, instant email communication and ip-telephony.

M/T "Moldanger" was our pilot on this type of connection, and so far this has been a good experience. The officers and crew onboard highly appreciates the internet access.

We are now entering a trial phase of a similar kind of equipment on the sister vessel M/T "Mauranger", but with smaller antenna.
