05.01.2012 - Naming and delivery of MT ''TORVANGER''

 

The last ship of a series of total eight 46.000 tdw Chemical Tanker was named Torvanger on 4th of January at the shipyard Hyundai Mipo Dockyard, Ulsan, Korea, by sponsor Ms. Nita Brinkhorst, wife of Hans Brinkhorst, shipbroker of H.Clarkson Singapore.
 

The ship was successfully delivered the following day to WLCO and Westchart. This ends the largest newbuilding project in the companie's history. The building contract for the first six ships was signed almost six years ago, in March 2006, additional two ships (Taranger and Torvanger) were both contracted two years later.
